The first look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Atlanteans has seemingly been revealed in new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever merchandise. Even after the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, Marvel Studios and director Ryan Coogler forged ahead with a sequel to 2018's hit superhero movie. T'Challa's absence from Black Panther 2 opens the door for Shuri, Okoye, M'Baku, and others to play bigger roles. Marvel has not confirmed many details about the sequel's story yet, but the movie is expected to include the introduction of Atlanteans to the MCU and make Namor the main villain.
Rumors about Namor and Atlanteans being Black Panther 2's antagonists have swirled for quite some time, with many theorizing the movie's plot will revolve around Wakanda going to war with Namor and Atlantis. Tenoch Huerta is reportedly playing Namor the Sub-Mariner in the MCU. While there have been plenty of hints that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will include the major Marvel anti-hero and his underwater kingdom, the secrecy surrounding the Phase 4 movie has left fans wondering what exactly Namor and Atlanteans will look like.
