Moon Knight is proving that Marc Spector is much more than just Marvel's version of Batman. While he's often compared to DC's Dark Knight, Moon Knight episode 5 confirms that Khonshu's Fist of Justice is much darker. Not only does Marc (Oscar Isaac) have a higher body count as a killer for Khonshu, but there are also some significant differences that have been revealed thanks to Marc and his alter Steven Grant exploring the memories of their shared past.
In Moon Knight episode 5, it's confirmed that Arthur Harrow killed Marc Spector in Ammit's tomb. The psych ward he and Steven woke up in is a representation of something their mortal mind can comprehend as the goddess Tawaret guides them through the Egyptian underworld. She also recommends that Marc and Steven work together and explore their past to balance the scales weighing their hearts in the afterlife. As such, Steven and viewers learn volumes about Marc and his troubled past.

One of the first things Marc and Steven discover is a room full of dead bodies. As confirmed by Marc, each one represents someone he killed for Khonshu, punishing criminals in order to "protect the travelers of the night." It's a pretty stark difference between Moon Knight and the Dark Knight considering the latter's no-killing rule. Batman believes that killing would make him just like those he intends to bring to justice. That's certainly not a limitation shared by Khonshu and his vengeance delivered through Marc.
