Nintendo has released a new trailer showing off the upcoming Rayman DLC for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope.
The trailer reveals the name of the DLC, which is the third and final expansion to be released for the game and is set to be released on August 30.
The DLC is called Rayman in the Phantom Show and, as the name suggests, stars Ubisoft character Rayman.
Separate from the main game’s storyline, it has players controlling Rayman, Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario as they find themselves on the Space Opera Network, a TV studio “full of props and easter eggs”, according to Ubisoft.
“The studio is run by the Phantom, a previous antagonist from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, who is now a studio director,” the official blurb reads. “As the TV studio’s rating are lower than ever, he needs the help of true stars to help him get his past glory back.”
One of the DLC’s main new features is vertical stages, which can be navigated using Rayman’s haircopter.

Rayman voice actor David Gasman returned to reprise the role for the DLC, and Rayman Legends composer Christophe Heral composed its soundtrack along with Grant Kirkhope.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot recently said the publisher failed to heed Nintendo’s advice by releasing Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope too soon.
In an interview withGamesIndustry.biz, Guillemot suggested Nintendo had advised the company that it would be beneficial to release the sequel on Switch’s successor. Instead, it opted to release the sequel on Switch.
Despite strong reviews and a five-year gap between both games, Sparks of Hope disappointed commercially following its release last October.
