Who says too much treasure is a bad thing? As they say, greed is good after all — right? Well, perhaps not this time, as many players have begun to have loot disappear entirely during the March of the Goblins event in Diablo 4.
March of the Goblins Event Now Live Avarice World Boss Guide
This interesting bug arises most often when there is simply a lot of loot already on the ground.
When slaying enemies, various items may not render or display their tooltip on the screen, effectively making them «fall through the floor». Various players have mentioned that this appears to happen during solo gameplay as well as while grouping, notably with Treasure Goblins having many of their Treasure Bags seemingly being left behind in the Realm of Greed.
This issue is particularly noticeable when fighting the World Boss Avarice.
While the March of the Goblins event is live, Avarice will spawn multiple Treasure Goblins when slain. Much of the loot and all of the aforementioned Treasure Bag will never be displayed when they're killed, however — leaving for a rather disappointing end to a World Boss.
Many players believe that the issue is caused by some kind of overflow, where the large number of items dropping is simply too much for the game to handle.
It is also worth noting that some players have reported encountering this same issue when killing Bosses such as Duriel numerous times without resetting the area.
The silver lining in all this, however, is that Blizzard is aware of the issue and will likely be addressing this as soon as possible. For now, the only suggestion to players as a partial workaround is to reset the Boss room for your Summoned runs such as Andariel or Grigoire more frequently to possibly prevent some of your loot from being lost.
