Having officially entered our Fortnite Festival era, we're quite excited to see that the surreal pseudo-metaverse Epic has cooked up and is getting instrument controller support as soon as next month.
On Twitter, peripheral manufacturer PDP teased that guitars would be coming imminently. PDP most recently produced musical controllers for Harmonix's Rock Band 4. Harmonix actually developed Fortnite Festival, so there is a pleasing symmetry to all this, as comforting as a 4/4 time signature.
Fortnite Festival allows players to perform music in a band or solo using music from popular artists. We knew that Rock Band controller support was a «priority», and now it seems like budding Fortnite rockstars will have additional options, which is never a bad thing. There's no word on other instruments yet, but we'll keep an eye on the situation as it develops.
