Listen To Idris Elba Rapping In Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Right Now
Idris Elba isn't just one of the new stars for 's DLC, he also took charge of some of the music for the expansion as a DJ, producer, and even rapper. has explored the talents of many individuals in unexpected ways, even making an in-game radio station, Growl FM, that is made up of tracks that were picked from submissions sent in by the game's talented fanbase. Idris Elba isn't a stranger to the music scene, however, and his rapping abilities were put to good use for this dark and gritty DLC.
The new DLC releases on September 26, 2023, and introduces a whole new district called Dogtown filled with engaging characters with deep backstories and questionable alliances in this spy-thriller theme. Among these new characters is Solomon Reed, an FIA agent who plays a pivotal role in the storyline and is brought to life by the talents of Idris Elba. As with any video game, the soundtrack plays a key factor in setting the scene, and within the shady and lawless area of Dogtown, its soundtrack is a perfect fit for expressing emotion.

While playing the radio stations that V can enjoy listening to will include the musical stylings of Idris Elba mixed in. One of the stations, Darkstar Radio, includes two songs that are performed and produced by Elba: «Choke Hold» and «Rolla Coaster.» Another station, Impulse, will include his Night City After Hours Mix called «Walk Of Shame.»
All three of these tracks make up Idris Elba's new EP «The Phantom Files (From Cyberpunk 2077)» which can be found on YouTube and Spotify, as well as the soundtrack. The EP was released under Idris Elba's label, 7Wallace, on September 21, 2023.
