Marvel is re-introducing — or introducing, in the case of newer fans — the character of Wolverine to comic book audiences by crafting a new 10-part digital comic series, Life of Wolverine. Trying to summarize the life and history of Wolverine is not an easy task for anyone to manage, but the creative team is clearly up for the challenge. This is a character who first debuted in 1974, meaning that anyone even trying to give an abridged report about Logan would need to base it off of nearly 50 years worth of history.
In that nearly 50-year history, Wolverine has loved, lost, lived, died, been revived, been evil, been good, and everything in between. It's easy for those who are not familiar with the history of the X-Men's most popular member to feel overwhelmed if it's explained to them all at once for the first time. Even those who are familiar with Wolverine's backstory may feel overwhelmed and may even struggle to remember every key detail about the practically immortal mutant.
