Don't Nod Entertainment, known for creating the Life Is Strange franchise, has released the trailer for the new game Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. This is one of seven games that Don't Nod has in development, along with puzzler Koira and a still-unnamed action RPG.
Founded in 2008, Don't Nod is recognized for its work in the narrative adventure genre, particularly the first two Life Is Strange games. Its most recent release was Banishers: Ghost of New Eden, an action-RPG released just last February to critical acclaim. Don't Nod's newest lineup of games will further showcase its storytelling prowess, starting with Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.
Don't Nod released the first trailer for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, which gives a glimpse of the female protagonists' memorable summer in 1995 in their hometown of Velvet Cove. Apart from Swann, Lost Records will also feature three of her friends, named Kat, Nora, and Autumn. According to the synopsis, players will experience the four teens' summer memories, from making music videos to discovering mysterious places in Velvet Cove. After a suspected fallout, the gang reunites 27 years later to confront a secret that they buried during that fateful summer.
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is expected to be released in late 2024. Don't Nod is already dropping a number of teasers on its social media pages, which players can check out to get an idea about the game's characters and world. It's also unlikely for Lost Records to be episodic.
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage's story seems like it's taking some notes from the first Life Is Strange's mystery angle, sans the time traveling abilities (based on the trailer at least). With four characters, it will be interesting to see how the choice-based gameplay will affect their lives throughout the game. There's also
