The Coronet Highlands is the fourth area of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and players will encounter a wide variety of catchable Pokémon as they scale the cliffs and mountains of this region of Hisui. As players approach the peak of Mount Coronet, grasslands and rivers become more scarce, making this rocky region a great place to encounter wild Ground and Rock-Type Pokémon. Catching Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus takes more strategy than the previous games in the franchise as Pokémon roam freely throughout Hisui, allowing players to interact with them and observe their behavior rather than randomly encountering them in tall grass.
Pokémon will behave differently based on their temperament, and while some are indifferent to trainers and let them get close without any trouble, others are skittish and will try to flee. Certain species are even aggressive and will attack anyone who gets too close, making catching Pokémon in Legends: Arceus more complicated and dangerous since the trainer can now take damage directly. The Hisui region of Pokémon Legends: Arceus is much harsher than the regions of Pokémon games of the past, and players will have to tread carefully and use new tactics when catching Pokémon in the wild, such as using Berries or Smoke Bombs to make them easier to capture.

Trainers will also have to be wary of Alpha Pokémon as they explore the Coronet Highlands, which are much larger and more aggressive than regular Pokémon of their species.
