Pokemon Legends: Arceus does grant players something of a reprieve in this regard, however, with the Hisui Pokedex considerably smaller than the ones used in other recent installments of the popular Game Freak franchise.

In total, there are 242 Pokemon available in Pokemon Legends: Arceus; the lowest number since the release of the Gen 1 games more than a quarter of a century ago. What's more, two of these can only be caught if players have save data from previous Pokemon games on their Switch, while another eight can only be obtained via trading or evolution. The other 232 can all be caught out in the wild though and their exact locations can be found below.
