It is possible to find a Shiny Alpha creature in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Shiny Pokémon have been a staple in the Pokémon series since the release of Gold and Silver back in 1999. Back then, the odds of finding one of these rare creatures was 1/8192, making them nearly impossible to encounter naturally. As a result, most trainers' first Shiny Pokémon experience would be with the Red Gyarados in the Lake of Rage. However, as time progressed, the Shiny odds have become much more forgiving, making it a bit easier to find these colorful creatures. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a new type of Pokémon called Alpha forms have made their introduction, and they can also be Shiny.
Trainers will immediately notice Alpha Pokémon when exploring Pokémon Legends: Arceus because of how they look. They are much larger versions of that type of Pokémon and have bright-red eyes that glow with anger. They can be incredibly dangerous and will attack trainers if they are provoked. Every Pokémon has the chance to appear Alpha as long as they Pokémon can appear in the wild. Unfortunately, this means there are no Alpha mythical or legendary Pokémon available in the game. They also have fairly low catch rates, making them difficult to obtain.

It is possible for Alpha Pokémon to also appear in their Shiny forms. The base Shiny odds in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is 1/4096, meaning that every encounter has a 1/4096 chance of appearing Shiny. Although, there are a few ways to increase these odds. A handful of Alpha Pokémon will always spawn in the same location, meaning those looking to Shiny Hunt Pokémon need to report to those areas.
