Warning! Contains mild spoilers for Star Wars #25
A preview page of Marvel’s Star Wars #25 sees Kylo Ren set foot back on a recognizable battlefield from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the Skywalker Saga’s eighth installment. The page in question sees Kylo Ren once again light his iconic crossguarded lightsaber on the planet Crait, the site of his final battle with Luke Skywalker.
The Last Jedi sees Kylo Ren, newly established Supreme Leader of the First Order, trap the Resistance in an old Rebel outpost on the planet Crait. With the looming threat of a siege cannon made from Death Star technology aimed at the outpost, the Resistance launches an attack on the First Order that proves unsuccessful. To save the Resistance, Luke Skywalker, who just arrived on the scene, resolves to face Ren down in a one-on-one duel outside the outpost, distracting the First Order long enough for the Resistance to find a way out. When Kylo finally lands a blow, Luke reveals himself to be a mere Force projection sent from the planet Ahch-To, sending a noncorporeal image to Crait as a distraction rather than engaging Ren physically.
