Warning! Contains a preview for Obi-Wan #2
In a new preview for Star Wars' new Obi-Wan series, the titular Jedi master looks back on one of his darkest missions with Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. Trained by one of the greatest Jedi in the prequel trilogy era, this new chapter from Kenobi's past will offer a new exploration into his and Qui-Gon's relationship as master and apprentice. However, this new preview also sets up one of Obi-Wan's first encounters with true darkness (both literally and figuratively).
Framed by Kenobi writing in his journals during his exile on Tatooine protecting young Luke Skywalker, each issue of Obi-Wanwill look at a different era of the Jedi's life that's never been seen before in the Star Wars timeline. Case in point, the first issue saw Obi-Wan reflecting on his earliest days in the Jedi Temple as a youngling. Now, Obi-Wan #2 will jump forward with Obi-Wan having been chosen by Qui-Gon Jinn to become his Jedi apprentice.

As seen in the new preview for Obi-Wan #2 from Christopher Cantwell and Luke Ross, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon arrive on the second moon of Codia which sent out a distress call. Despite the system having its own sun, something has blocked all light from entering, creating pitch-black darkness across the entire surface of the moon. Requiring the two Jedi to wear special night-vision macrobinoculars, even their lightsabers appear dimmer as they search for whatever is lurking in the intense shadows. Here are the preview pages and synopsis for the upcoming issue:
