Warning: Spoilers for Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 6.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series finale ends with Reva, the Third Sister, surviving her tragic arc, which is the right decision for her character. When introduced as an Inquisitor, Reva is the most obsessed and violent of Darth Vader’s dark-side-trained minions, yet her backstory and true motivation are eventually revealed, making her a rather complex character. Having Reva survive the Obi-Wan series allows her to have a starring role in future Star Wars stories as well as gives her a fascinating internal struggle that she wouldn’t have had if she’d died in the series finale.
Having been wounded and left for dead by Darth Vader and The Grand Inquisitor on Jabiim, Reva, formerly the Third Sister, travels to Tatooine to kill Darth Vader’s son in “Part VI.” After overpowering Own and Beru Lars and tracking down Luke Skywalker, Reva can’t bring herself to kill him, seeing Luke in the same position she’d been in during Order 66. Reva returns Luke to the Lars’ and drops her lightsaber in the sand as Ben Kenobi tells her she’s finally free.

Reva’s tragic backstory as a Jedi Purge survivor and a revenge-driven Inquisitor hell-bent on killing Darth Vader makes her a morally grey character, despite her rejection of the dark side at the end of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Reva is now free to star in her own stories and struggle with the guilt of her
