Kuki Shinobu and Yelan are coming to Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact is in a constant state of rotating characters as it introduces new ones and brings back old ones. But the next two characters we’ll get in Version 2.7 of Genshin Impact are completely new characters, Kuki Shinobu and Yelan. Kuki Shinobu boasts striking green hair, reminding me of all the green-haired characters making their way into League of Legends and Valorant, while Yelan seems more regal in appearance.

Kuki Shinobu is officially listed as an Electro character, and some leaks indicate that she’ll be a 4-star Sword character. These leaks also indicate that Kuki Shinobu will be a healer, making her the Electro element’s first healer support character. In the story, Kuki Shinobu is the Deputy Leader of the Arataki gang, and she’s often seen in the lore keeping the gang’s namesake, Arataki Itto, in check. This is bound to create some comical interactions between the two, so keep an eye out for that.

Yelan is also a highly anticipated character, and she’s likely the 5-star queen of the banner. She’ll wield a bow and bring some Hydro power to your team, making her the second Hydro bow user after the famed Tartaglia. Unlike Kuki Shinobu, we don’t know much about Yelan’s backstory. But we do know Yelan is of high authority, acting for the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

Yelan and Kuki Shinobu were officially revealed on the Genshin Impact Twitter account, as a part of what fans have dubbed the “drip marketing” technique. Official release dates for these two are not yet available, but we can assume they’ll release alongside Genshin Impact Version 2.7. Meanwhile, Genshin Impact Version 2.6 releases in a couple of days, which will bring Venti and Kamisato Ayato into the hands of players.
