A Kingdom Hearts fan has created a mod for Kingdom Hearts 3 that gives Sora his realistic look and new clothes from Kingdom Hearts 4, which is as close to news on the upcoming game that we're going to get this year.
Although the recent release of the Kingdom Hearts Missing Link closed beta test did give fans of the series something to talk about, it's mostly been a quiet spell, especially when compared to 2022. That glorious year gave us the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4, something that we're still waiting to hear more about all this time later.
With just over a week left of the year to go, it looks like we're ending 2023 without any kind of substantial update on the future of Kingdom Hearts. That's a shame, but at least the incredible modding community for the series has given us a little Christmas gift to tide us over until Kingdom Hearts 4 finally shows its face again.
The mod in question comes from Twitter user Sora101Ven, who worked with fellow Kingdom Hearts fans and modders caehum and somnusNemoris_ to bring Sora's Kingdom Hearts 4 design over to Kingdom Hearts 3. It seems that the mod has been in the works for quite some time now, but it's finally ready to be released just in time for Christmas. If you're a Kingdom Hearts fan like myself desperately refreshing Twitter for anything new on the series, then consider it a nice little present to yourself.
