Phasmophobia developer Kinetic Games recently published an update to Steam detailing a revised 2024 and Beyond roadmap for the game.
The most significant change to the roadmap itself is the removal of release dates for upcoming releases. A new section has been added to the bottom of the roadmap designated for new features, maps, and smaller additions that can be deployed as soon as they’re ready without having to wait for a major game update.
Horror 2.0 is set as the game’s final Early Access milestone and will take the game into launch, though the developers made note of their commitment to post-launch updates, including additional equipment, ghosts, and new locations.
Other news includes information on the game’s console release, the forthcoming addition of Point Hope, and reworks to the farmhouses of Bleasdale and Grafton.
The dev team acknowledges the delay of the game’s console release, but suggest the additional development time will be worth the delay as console players will enjoy a number of improvements coming day one, including the new Shop experience, adjustments to leveling and gear tiers, a number of balance changes, and optimizations for both quality and performance that should allow the game to run and look as close as possible to its PC counterpart.
