Speaking to Deadline at the Sands International Film Festival of St. Andrews in Scotland, the director went on to say, «The way it works at Marvel, and I'm sure at some point somebody will talk in detail about this, but part of [Marvel Studios president] Kevin [Feige]'s brilliance is that there isn’t really a plan.» This might sound alarming to some, but this is how Marvel Studios is actually able to stay relevant while also allowing room for quick last-minute changes and flexibility. While on paper it makes more sense to have an overarching narrative to achieve, that method runs the risk of trapping Marvel Studios in a corner without room to adapt. If an idea doesn't work, then they'll be stuck with the decision they made.
