Guild Wars 2: Every Tangled Depths Strongbox Location
Strongboxes are unique chests in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns that hold a variety of loot, as well as one Mastery point if it is your first time opening it. All four Heart of Thorns maps hold strongboxes, including the maze-like Tangled Depths. This map can be difficult to navigate, so we are here to help.

In this guide, we are going to take a look at how to find every strongbox in the Tangled Depths. To reach these strongboxes, you will need to have the ability to glide and use updrafts unlocked. You do not need to have a mount to reach any of these strongboxes, but a Springer mount will make finding them easier. Additionally, for this first strongbox, you will need to participate in the meta.
First up, we have the Plains of Golghein strongbox. This is a unique strongbox, because to access it, you will need to successfully complete the King of the Jungle meta event. This meta runs on a timer, meaning that it is not always active. Check with the event timer on the wiki to find out when the next King of the Jungle meta event occurs.
Once this meta event has been completed, the area behind the wall shown above will be accessible, and you can see the strongbox sitting on top of a rock.
Starting from the Order of Whispers Camp Waypoint, follow the path shown above, leading to the east. If you have a Springer mount, you can follow the path all the way to the end and simply hop up to the strongbox.
Do not jump into the hole in the ground with a waterfall, leading down to a Pact campsite. Instead, keep going on the higher level.
