With's expansive open world and plenty of collectibles and horses to gather, there seem to be a limitless number of ways to experience the game. However, the different perspectives and cinematic camera angles often challenge players and have become a source of divided opinions since 's release in 2018. Rockstar's games have typically thrived on third-person perspectives, so how does 's first-person mode really measure up after all these years?
Of all the important factors that Rockstar considered when creating an open-world experience like, the way that players view the world around them is often paramount. In some of their previous titles, Rockstar has often only left players with the ability to use a third-person overview perspective prior to their releases on eighth-generation consoles like the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The ability to toggle the perspective switches between first and third-person was received incredibly well, but how does in first-person compare to other gaming experiences available?
If players have never tried it, first-person for can be accessed by tapping on the Touch Pad on PlayStation controllers, the View Button for Xbox users, and V on a keyboard. There is a cinematic camera option available as well that is excellent for capturing screenshots and highlighting finer angles around the character but can be a bit trickier to utilize.
