But the film’s multiverse and villain are shaped by Raimi’s horror sensibilities, which means the film can be equal parts creepy and rather brutal. Raimi brings horror to the MCU in exciting ways. There are scenes where the characters are waiting before they move, making sure they are safe from the adversary that is chasing them. In one such scene, the figure passes by in shadow before appearing, blood caked on their face, abruptly in front of the protagonists.
