Loki season 1 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron explains how Mobius and the Time Variance Authority would respond to the events of the latest MCU movie. Tom Hiddleston's Loki has established himself as one of the more beloved characters within the Marvel universe, resulting in the actor getting his own television show on Disney+. This series introduced the Time Variance Authority, an organization that sought to keep the Sacred Timeline intact. One of the TVA's highest-ranking members is Mobius, played by Owen Wilson, and he and Loki form a close relationship over the course of the series before the Sacred Timeline is disrupted by the God of Mischief and his variant, Sylvie.
Following up on the events of WandaVision, Loki, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the latest Marvel movie to hit theaters. It sees Benedict Cumberbatch's sorcerer return as he seeks to protect multiverse hopping hero America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) from Scarlet Witch. This results in some truly terrifying multiversal action and while the events of the movie are largely disconnected from Loki season 1, that doesn't mean season 2 won't follow up on some of the resulting chaos leftover from the events of the movie. In fact, Waldron even suggests how Mobius and the TVA would respond to the world-shattering happenings in Doctor Strange 2.
