Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness showcased the Scarlet Witch at her peak, but the film's ending may have set up the Agatha: House of Harkness MCU series. Making her debut in WandaVision as Agnes, Kathryn Hahn played the antagonist to Wanda and Vision. Agnes was revealed to be a witch named Agatha Harkness, who killed her coven hundreds of years ago. She drained them of their power after learning forbidden magic of the Dark Arts via the Darkhold spellbook.

After Wanda fully became the Scarlet Witch, she mentally enchanted Agatha's mind and confined her to the town of Westview until further notice. When WandaVision concluded, Marvel Studios announced that an Agatha spinoff series was in development.
