In Marvel Comics, Iron Manis debuting his strongest Hulkbuster yet to take the Hulk down once and for all. But even with its considerable bells and whistles, this titanic armor points to some character flaws deep within the Golden Avenger that continue to prove why Iron Man will never beat Hulk.
The epic Banner of War event continues in Donny Cates and Martin Cóccolo’s Hulk #7. With Hulk the presumed culprit of a gruesome murder spree in El Paso, the recently crowned Asgardian King Thorhas made it his mission to apprehend him by any means necessary, leading to their star-smashing heavy-weight duel. At one point, Thor hurls Mjolnir at Hulk to allow his father’s spirit to engage Banner telepathically. It is here Odin learns the truth: Hulk didn’t kill those people, and nor did Bruce—not consciously, anyway. Some malevolent force had taken over Banner’s body. But before the Allfather can conclude his inquiry, Thor recalls his weapon and falls back, heralding the arrival of Iron Man in what could be his most powerful Hulkbuster armor yet.

This hypertech man-o-war looks massive enough to stand against the likes of Galactus—and given the Celestial technology in its composition, it probably could—but Tony designed it particularly to squash the Green Meanie.
