The iQOO Z6 5G is coming soon! Yes, the iQOO Z5 is barely a few months old but Vivo is now bringing its successor to the Indian market soon. The iQOO Z6 moniker has been confirmed by iQOO India’s homepage, showing its design as well as hinting the camera details. The iQOO Z6 could take over from the iQOO Z5 and may even offer an updated chip tuned for more power.
The iQOO Z6 5G will come in a dark blue colour variant that happens to have a matte finish on its rear. Unlike the Z5, the iQOO Z6 has flat sides inspired from the iPhone 12. The camera module is similar to the Z5, having a big rectangle holding three cameras. No word on what the resolution is but there’s a 5G sticker to suggest the 5G connectivity. iQOO is yet to reveal its front design and any other specifications.
Based on what we have seen, it seems the iQOO Z5 will be an entirely new phone launching in India first. The iQOO Z5 came with the very capable Snapdragon 778G chip and going by the Z series’ history, it seems iQOO could be using a Qualcomm chip once again. We wouldn’t be surprised if iQOO uses the newer Snapdragon 778G Plus chip. Or, iQOO could go more aggressive and even offer a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip, which has bene popular with midrange devices lately.
What remains to be seen is where the improvements come over the iQOO Z5 with the iQOO Z6 and what kind of pricing is the new model carrying. The iQOO Z5 has been a solid option in the sub- ₹25,000 segment that scored high on performance, battery life and cameras in our review. However, the display quality was a notch below the competition and the overall fit and finish was not as impressive.
