Sonic 2 Final Trailer Reveals Green Emerald Powers & A Lot More Knuckles
The final trailer for this spring's Sonic the Hedgehog 2spotlights new character Knuckles and the powers of the famed Chaos Emerald. After 2020's Sonic the Hedgehog proved to be a delightful surprise that could break the video game adaptation curse, Paramount swiftly moved forward with a sequel. Set to premiere in theaters next month, the new movie revisits Ben Schwartz's speedy hedgehog Sonic as he embarks on another adventure. This time around, he's joined by some familiar faces from the video games, though Sonic the Hedgehog 2 also features the returns of James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 finds Sonic and his new pal Tails (Colleen O'Shaughnessey) teaming up to stop a powerful emerald from falling into the wrong hands. The villainous Dr. Robotnik returns to get his revenge on Sonic after the hedgehog bested him in the first film, and this time around, he has a new partner. Knuckles the Echidna makes his debut here, and he's voiced by Idris Elba.
As promised yesterday, Paramount Pictures has debuted the final trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Check it out below.
