Samsung has been busy launching loads of affordable smartphones in India lately and after the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33, Samsung has now confirmed the Galaxy M33 5G for India. Coming in as the successor to last year’s popular Galaxy M32 5G, the Galaxy M33 5G will look more like the Galaxy M32 4G variant but Samsung is teasing a couple of upgrades underneath. No tip on the price yet but Samsung has revealed a couple of features and specs you can expect from this affordable 5G smartphone.
The teaser reveals the design of the Galaxy M33 5G and it is something we have already seen from Samsung last year — a square camera island hosting four cameras on the rear. The phone will launched in Blue and Green colours, and it appears to be have a plastic unibody design theme.
Other than the design, Samsung has also revealed a couple of its features. Samsung says the Galaxy M33 5G will feature 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Since there’s no mention of an AMOLED panel, it seem Samsung could be using the same 120Hz LCD display from the Galaxy F23. The display appears to have a waterdrop notch on the top, and a fat chin.
The Galaxy M33 5G will also feature a 50MP main rear camera, but a leak reveals it will be accompanied by an 5MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth camera. The front camera will use an 8MP sensor. Samsung confirms a new Voice Focus feature on the front camera.
As the traditions go for Samsung's M series, the Galaxy M33 5G will get a massive 6000mAh battery. Samsung does not mention any fast charging but rumours suggest a 25W wired charging support for this phone. However, you won’t be getting the charger in the box.
Samsung also mentions the presence of a 5nm octa-core 5G chipset but does
