Samsung has been raining new smartphones like there’s no tomorrow! After launching a couple of Galaxy A and Galaxy M series phones over the past few days, the company has launched the Galaxy M33 5G in India. Starting at Rs. 18,999 for its base model, the Galaxy M33 5G competes with the likes of Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G, Moto G71 5G, Lava Agni 5G, and Infinix Zero 5G. Samsung does not reveal the chipset details yet.
The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G starts at Rs. 18,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is also another variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage that carries a price tag of Rs. 20,499. Note that as an introductory offer, Samsung is offering both models at Rs. 17,999 and Rs. 19,999, respectively.The phone comes in two colours and will be available for purchase from April 8 via Samsung retail chains and Amazon. There is also a cash back offer of Rs. 2,000 of you make the transaction via ICICI Bank cards.
The Galaxy M33 5G features a large 6.6-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a V-shaped notch for holding the 8MP front camera. The display gets a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Samsung says the phone comes with an octa-core Exynos process but does not reveal its name. This is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, with Samsung RAM Plus extending that capacity to 16GB from the inbuilt storage. The phone comes with One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. Samsung does not say how many Android updates will this phone get.
When it comes to the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G gets a quad rear camera system, consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide with 120-degree FOV, and 2MP macro camera, and another 2MP depth camera.
