Xiaomi 12 Pro was confirmed for India last week and today, its launch date has been made official too. The Xiaomi 12 Pro will be officially launched in India on April 27, wherein all of the features and price will be revealed. The phone is likely to take on the iPhone 13, iQOO 9 Pro, and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus in India. Note that the Xiaomi 12 Pro marks the return of the actual Xiaomi flagship since 2020's Xiaomi Mi 10.
The phone has been selling in global markets for a few months now, offering the best of what Xiaomi has to offer. However, it is not the replacement to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which was the company's true flagship last year by all means.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is the flagship model in the lineup, consisting of two other models globally. There's a regular Xiaomi 12 that is smaller in size and has less capable cameras on its back. There is also a Xiaomi 12X that offers the older Snapdragon 870 chip while keeping the same specs as the Xiaomi 12.
India, however, could be getting two additional and completely different models. Rumours have it that the Xiaomi 12 Pro could later be joined by a Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12X Pro. Both these phones could rely on the MediaTek chipsets and may offer a toned-down experience. Based on Xiaomi's track records, it seems the Redmi K50 series from the Chinese market could be renamed to the Xiaomi 12X series in India, since these phones are using the Dimensity 8100 chip and the Dimensity 9000 chip.
Coming back to the Xiaomi 12 Pro, the phone features a 6.7-inch WQHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a variable refresh rate of 120Hz, peak brightness of 1500
