iPhone 14 is considered to be the next big iPhone from Apple that could dictate how the smartphone market behaves this year. There are some big upgrades planned for the iPhone 14 Pro models and the lineup is expected to see a major revamp with entry of a new “Max” model for the basic iPhone 14. However, based on the newest leak, it seems it will be clever to skip the iPhone 14 for an upgrade and wait for the iPhone 15 instead.
Based on a report from 9To5Mac, Analyst Jeff Pu says that this year’s iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are going to get a mighty camera upgrade. Instead of the 12MP camera on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will get new 48MP main camera sensors. This should apparently help with photo quality enhancing low light performance and details.
Pu also goes on to re-affirm the possibility of a new iPhone 14 Max, saying the the smallest iPhone 14 this year will be the standard 6.1-inch iPhone as Apple will skip the Mini version. Even the pricing is said to remain similar to the iPhone 13 range.
However, those willing to wait an extra year for the iPhone 15 Pro will be in for more benefits, especially in terms of its camera tech. The iPhone 14 Pro will only see the new 48MP camera sensor as the main upgrade but Apple has plans to tackle the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra in 2023 for its zooming capabilities. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max could get 5X periscope zoom camera arrangement.
Now this won’t be as advanced as the 10X optical zoom camera seen on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. We reviewed the Samsung phone earlier and were might impressed with its zooming capabilities. Having a 5X optical zoom on the iPhone 15 Pro will certainly be better than the 3X
