The action role-playing title Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai is launching in the west, Square Enix has confirmed. This Dragon Quest game lets players live through the story of the anime series, The Adventure of Dai, and features stylised visuals with an art style inspired by the anime and manga. A new trailer came with the announcement, which you can watch below (in Japanese with English subtitles).
The story finds a young boy named Dai living in a world suffering under an evil named Dark Lord Hadlar. But the gods of Dragons, Darklings, and humans convened and came to an agreement: To create a being with the strength of dragons, the magic power of Darklings, and the heart of humans. And, well, I think you can guess how an innocent young boy named Dai might figure with fateful background lore.

Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai will offer two different ways to experience the game: Adventure Mode and Temple of Recollection. Adventure Mode is your more classic story progression, following the plot of the anime through the Sovereign Rock Castle arc; while Temple of Recollection offers up an "evolving dungeon" that changes with each play through, adding difficulty and rewards as you progress. But there's more to tied the game with the anime too in some nicely drawn collectibles.
Players can customise their party with 'Memento Bonds', which can be collected and equipped, as these rare accessories tweak your abilities and stats. Every time one of these items is unlocked, players will also unlock a scene from the original manga. These Memento Bonds can also be boosted by searching and exploring the Temple of Recollection.
