In Assassin's Creed 2, Ezio's uncle Mario will eventually show him the legendary armor of Altair, sealed away beneath Monteriggioni. Players are able to visit several tombs scattered throughout the game that will eventually unlock Altair's armor set, but the most important aspect of this is how it teased lore that wouldn't be fulfilled for years. Surrounding this armor and statue of the legendary Altair are six other legendary assassins.
Most Assassin's Creed fans are likely aware of two of them: Darius and Amunet. Through the events of Assassin's Creed Origins, Bayek and Aya would go on to found the Hidden Ones, and Aya would eventually go on to adopt the name of Amunet. Aya played a huge role in the spread of the Hidden Ones, becoming legendary among their ranks and being remembered for Cleopatra's assassination while Bayek would choose to be forgotten, befitting his particular view of the Creed. Meanwhile, players meet Darius in Assassin's Creed Odyssey DLC, and he would go on to raise the child of Alexios/Kassandra. Darius' legendary feats include being the first to use a Hidden Blade and assassinating Xerxes I.
