Cosplayer purple_toast_cosplay posted to Reddit a photo of their Maria cosplay that got fans talking. It's an exact recreation of Maria's outfit from the original game, down to the pink highlights in her blonde hair.
According to Polygon, Maria's outfit in the original game was inspired by Christina Aguilera's 1999 Teen Choice Awards outfits and helped root the game in the period it was released.
