The Game Awards 2023, the 10th edition of Geoff Keighley’s annual award show and showcase of upcoming games, returns in December. This year’s Game Awards promises “an incredible lineup of world premiere announcements and trailers,” as well as live performances and the awards themselves.
What will be at this year’s Game Awards? In terms of new reveals, organizers haven’t started teasing which games (or video game-adjacent TV shows or movies) might have reveals. But the 2022 Game Awards was a big one, with announcements and reveals from Death Stranding 2, Hades 2, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Judas, Final Fantasy 16, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The Game Awards will stream live on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. EST/4:30 p.m. PST. The show will be broadcasted via YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, TikTok, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, and Steam.
The shows typically run 3.5 hours, including a 30-minute pre-show. The Game Awards organizers have not announced how long the 2023 event will be, but expect something between three and four hours long.
