Despite being one of the more iconic places from the main series, it can only be accessed by a specific group of students. It's not difficult to get there by any means — in fact, this visit can happen within the first few hours of a playthrough — but rather, a certain irreversible choice can bar players from going to Azkaban in entirely, so it's important that they know what choices to make early on.
In, Azkaban was home to the wizarding world's most dangerous dark witches and wizards, such as Bellatrix Lestrange, and Bartemius Crouch Junior. Since precedes the events of the books and movies, players won't meet any Death Eaters (though Viktor Rookwood is related to one), but they can still visit the terrifying location by making a specific choice.

In order to visit Azkaban in, players must join Hufflepuff at the start of their playthrough, as the prison can only be accessed through Hufflepuff's House-exclusive side quest. After progressing through the game's first few quests, and then saving an elderly woman near Hogwarts' Great Lake, the student will receive a letter via owl, instructing them to speak to the portrait of Eldritch Diggory in the Hufflepuff common room. From there, players can simply follow the associated quest, «Prisoner of Love,» to make their way into Azkaban alongside former Auror Helen Thistlewood. Unfortunately, it's currently impossible for Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw students to visit the prison.
