One feature in particular, though, has caught players' attention: a face scan feature that will allow them to add themselves to the roster. However, effectively using this feature is not exactly straightforward.
To use this feature in and add your likeness to the game, it will first require that the companion app to the game be downloaded on a mobile device. The "MLB The Show Companion App" can be downloaded on Android and iOS devices from their respective app stores. This app is where the face scan is done, which will then be uploaded into the game.
In order to use the face scan feature, head to the app store and download«MLB The Show Companion App.» Once it is downloaded, open the app and connect the gaming account that will be used. Ensure that this information is correct; otherwise, the scan will not be loaded into the game. After logging in, select the face scan feature, which will be in the lower right corner of the screen in the menu bar. Next, select the agreement to acknowledge the terms and conditions, then download the link. After it is done downloading, a button will appear that allows players to open up their device's camera.
At the time of writing, iOS is still in the process of updating its app. Therefore, currently, the feature is only working for Android users.
