Honkai: Star Rail has already surpassed 20 million downloads, just 1 day after its release. This is the latest title from Genshin Impact developer miHoYo for those unaware.https://t.co/L6piWjrigY pic.twitter.com/jkytwNbVbS
As Ahmad notes, Honkai: Star Rail had over 30 million pre-registered users before the game's launch, and has broken a record by «reaching [number] 1 on the iOS game download chart in more countries than any prior game.»
While Honkai: Star Rail may look like Genshin Impact, the two play vastly differently from one another. Star Rail is a turn-based RPG, while Genshin focuses more on real-time action.
Interestingly, Honkai: Star Rail is only available on PC and mobile right now. The game is planned to launch for PS4 and PS5 at a later point, but there's no word on when we can expect the PlayStation versions. It's unknown if the game will come to other platforms like Xbox or Nintendo Switch.
Honkai: Star Rail is available for free across iOS, Android, and PC right now.
