Consoles, however, have been entirely bereft of the game, with a technical test for PlayStation 5 running in August but no word on an official release date beyond a vague overall window.

Announced in the September PlayStation State of Play livestream, will release on the PlayStation 5 on October 11, 2023. Although that still leaves several weeks to go before the game's console launch, the confirmation of a specific day less than a month away from the September State of Play is likely a relief for many looking forward to playing the game.
