A new leak about Honkai: Star Rail version 2.1 hints at a four-star character creator. Every playable banner in Honkai: Star Rail has a rarity that reflects their prestige and power. As in Genshin Impact, five-star characters usually have higher stats than four-star units; however, their drop rates are much lower. Frankly, there is not that big difference between the two types of banners, as both can be useful depending on which team composition they are a part of.
Some players may mistakenly assume that five-star units are much more powerful than four-stars, but this assumption is influenced by their personal preference. In Honkai: Star Rail, characters' powers rely not only on their rarity but also on their elements, Light Cones, and the relics they equip. Several four-star units, such as Tingyun, Asta, and Yukong, can see a fair bit of use in specific teams situationally.
A recent Honkai: Star Rail leak from Dimbreath has revealed that the version 2.1 event will feature a four-star character selector that allows players to pick between Gallagher, Misha, Guinaifen, Xueyi, Hanya, Luka, Lynx, or Wukong. This event will possibly be available to celebrate the game's first anniversary in late April, which coincides with the second phase of 2.1. Honkai: Star Rail's Gallagher being featured in the character selector is a bit surprising, as previous leaks suggested he would make his debut in the first phase of the update. It looks like one of these leaks will turn out to be incorrect.
Aside from Gallagher, the character selector will reportedly offer the newest four-star unit, Misha, who just made his debut in version 2.0. He will potentially be a top choice for players thanks to his Ice-based skills that freeze enemies consistently.
Honkai: Star Rail features an abundance of four-star playable banners, each having a unique skill set. Many of these characters are available to pull from the Stellar Warp, on which players must spend Rail Passes they purchase with Stellar Jades.
