Hogwarts Legacy’s State of Play presentation featured a lot of in-game content and activities that players can expect to partake in. Hidden clues and context about certain monuments or interactibles in the environment may not be disclosed until the game releases, however, and there is surely a lot to explore in and around the castle grounds.
One of these environmental interactibles that players have made a particular note of is the recurring stone pedestals that feature a face sculpted into the monument. Following closer inspection, fans determined that a plaque beneath the face reads “Wildsmith,” which refers to Ignatia Wildsmith, the creator of Floo Powder in the Harry Potter mythology. These monuments hold a flickering green flame at their bases, and fans have since theorized that they will be able to fast-travel between these monuments in Hogwarts Legacy. Now, this theory has seemingly been officially confirmed.
Hogwarts Legacy Clip Ensures that Robe Physics Are 'Alive and Well'
Hogwarts Legacy has recently released another brief, atmospheric clip that shows an area in Hogwarts Legacy’s Hogsmeade Village. In the background, past a small group of NPCs chatting together, fans can see another Wildsmith monument between sets of tables and chairs. Captioning the clip is a statement that says, “Hogsmeade can be reached quickly on foot, and even quicker by Floo Flame.” Clearly referencing the Wildsmith monument and the Floo Flame at its foot, Hogwarts Legacy seems to be affirming a fan theory and stating that fast-travel will be available between these monuments.
