Stranger Things fans were left with one of the biggest cliffhanger endings the show has done so far, with some major reveals and promises of an action-packed finale that will pit the Hawkins gang against the powerful and malevolent Vecna. Now, the first full trailer for volume two of season four has arrived, and it promises a showdown for the ages.
The newest spot builds its tension slowly at first, with a voiceover from Matthew Modine's Dr. Brenner seeming to tell Eleven that her friends are «not prepared for this fight,» and that «Hawkins will fall.» Accompanying this narration are scenes of Steve, Nancy, Eddie, Dustin, and Max all loaded into an RV, looking very nervous. Layered underneath it all is the familiar sound of Kate Bush's «Running Up That Hill.» Eleven, undeterred by Brenner's warning that she is not ready, appears determined to save her friends.

As the trailer breaks out of the introduction, there are brief flashes of what to expect in the coming episodes. One scene seems to show Nancy confronting Vecna in the very facility where he originated. Will and Robin highlight the dire nature of the situation, with the latter saying, «I have this terrible feeling, it might not work out for us this time.»
