Hearthstone just dropped its Season 8, and it’s bringing some wild new stuff to Battlegrounds. There are new features, heroes and cards, plus some improvements and changes that you’ll probably love if you’re a regular player.
After the Perils in Paradise update, it’s time for Hearthstone Season 8. First off, Trinkets are the new go-to power-ups. There are 56 Lesser Trinkets and 60 Greater Trinkets up for grabs, and yes, you can double up on some of them.
You’ll be able to snag these goodies on turns 6 and 9, with 4 options popping up each time. Trinkets are influenced by your hero and Warband. So, whether someone’s rocking Elementals, Dragons or Murlocs, there’s something for everyone.
The new hero in Hearthstone Season 8 is Marin the Manager. With him, you get to grab an extra Trinket a turn early. That’s right, the Manager’s got your back, and he’s not afraid to break a few rules to make sure you’re ahead of the curve. Catch a glimpse of Marin right here!
Yep, 41 minions are getting the boot, but at the same time, 22 old-school favourites are making a comeback. And they’re bringing along 27 new minions and 2 shiny new Tavern spells.
Four new cards are up for grabs as well. Free Travel Winner (Tier 2) is a 2/2 minion that disappears after surviving combat and gifts you with a Triple Reward. Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4) boosts your lower-tier minions.
Lucky Egg (Tier 5) gives you a Golden Tier 3 minion to transform into. And Sun Screener (Tier 6) is a 10/1 minion that dishes out Divine Shield to your three left-most minions and your opponent’s.
From August 27th to September 17th, Hearthstone Season 8 is hosting the Marin Resort’s Treasure Hunt. It’s packed with Event Quests. Complete them to rake in 14 total packs, including some from Perils in Paradise and Whizbang’s Workshop.
