World of Warships is marking its 9th anniversary and of course, this means events, anniversary rewards, some free stuff, ships, a new commander, discounts, and new Early Access ships.
The range of anniversary content includes a brand new port, Planeta Aquatica, an underwater theme park themed port. The Aquatica Fair Event comes to the Armory with new items you can earn, daily rewards, and the 9th anniversary event pass.
Festive rewards return for the anniversary, So it's time to earn festive tokens. not only can you earn rewards for the ships you play on, if you have a lot of ships you can still earn rewards on ships you haven't played on Via a recurring mission that you can choose to take on.
When you earn festive tokens, you can trade them for a series of rewards, including containers, Aquatica tokens for the Aquatica Fair, patches, flags, economic bonuses, and the US Tier VIII Premium cruiser Rochester. If you already have the Rochester in your collection, you'll get a 100% discount coupon that you can redeem for one of a select group of ships.
Anniversary daily rewards are in addition to the daily login rewards, and there are a series of anniversary items, including festive tokens, Battle of Paso de Patria containers, and the Radiant Wave camouflage.
The update adds a new puzzle collection with 60 pieces that you can get from Battle of Paso de Patria containers. You might even find one of these containers in the daily ritual random bundles.
If you're able to collect all 60 pieces, you'll get a brand new Pan American Commander, Joaquim Marques Lisboa. The Pan American theme continues as a new line of battleships enter early access — the Ipiranga, Libertad, and Los Andes. And with these ships entering early access, recent French destroyers have entered the tech tree.
While the anniversary festivities are on, today also opens a new season of ranked battles, next week there will be new Brawls, and on September 11th, Season 27 of Clan battles will start.
