A24's upcoming Hazbin Hotel series, based on the controversial 2019 YouTube cartoon pilot, has officially unveiled its brand new design for the adult film actor Angel Dust. The announcement of the series in August of 2020 was met with mixed reactions from the general public. Some claimed it to be too offensive, while others showed their excitement.
The original webisode that inspired the series, created by YouTuber Vivienne Medrano (username Vivziepop), revolves around Charlie, the Princess of Hell, who wants to fix the realm's overpopulation problem by opening a hotel that "rehabilitates sinners," ultimately leading them toward redemption and therefore sending them to Heaven. Unfortunately, none of Hell's denizens have any faith in Charlie's project. Angel Dust is Charlie's first guinea pig in her experiment — although he's no stranger to sin, he had reluctantly promised to try getting clean for her in exchange for free lodging at the hotel. Regrettably, the plan doesn't go well, as his involvement in a turf war with his friend Cherry Bomb against Sir Pentious ended up being broadcast in the middle of Charlie's public announcement of her project. Underneath it all, however, the actor does seem to have a good heart, and he is hoping his rough life won't be so terrible inside this hotel.
