Disney Plus' Lokihas been unique in many ways. It introduced the concept of the Sacred Timeline, multiple variants of a single character, and is currently the only Marvel Studios series to have a confirmed second season. Ever since the first season finale premiered, fans have been waiting for an update on season 2, and Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige revealed some good news at Disney's Upfronts 2022 presentation.
While talking about the Marvel Cinematic Universe and what’s in store for fans, Feige confirmed that the second season of Loki was on track and production is all set to begin in June. Fans of the series are waiting for Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief and Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie to return and continue their epic journey that is likely leading them towards Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror.
Tom Hiddleston Hints At What Fans Can Expect In Loki Season 2
When providing the update on the second season of Loki, Feige also confirmed that the upcoming season will see “the whole cast returning.” This means that all the main characters, and the actors who portray them on screen, will be a part of the second season. This roster most likely includes Hiddleston, Di Martino, Majors, Owen Wilson's Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw's Ravonna Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku's Hunter B-15, and Tara Strong's Miss Minutes. Perhaps some of the other Loki variants might also make an appearance.
Fans last saw Hiddleston's Loki in a timeline entirely unfamiliar to him, where Kang seems to be in charge of the Time Variance Authority.
