A new Honest Trailer for Hawkeye pokes fun at the suit-obsessed Marvel show. Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, the famous non-super-powered Avenger who is dealing with life after the events of Avengers: Endgame. In New York City for the holidays, Hawkeye finds himself embroiled in convoluted mess that involves a murder, a watch, his old Ronin suit, a gang of bros, and a pesky Hawkeye wannabe played by Hailee Steinfeld. The series is loosely based on Matt Fraction and David Aja comic series, which brings Steinfeld's Kate Bishop front-and-center as the heir to the Hawkeye throne.
Hawkeye also introduces the character of Maya Lopez, played by Alaqua Cox, a gang leader with some very formidable skills and an obsession with tracking down the real Ronin. Lopez's mentor is revealed to be none other than Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. The Kingpin, once again played by Vincent D'Onofrio, who first portrayed the character on Netflix's Daredevil series. Rounding out the cast is Vera Farmiga as Kate's mother, Tony Dalton as her fiancé, Jack Duquesne, and a surprise appearance by Florence Pugh's Black Widow character, Yelena Belova.
