Marvel subtly fixed a Hawkeye continuity error with the Avengers Tower, and it's a clear win for detail-obsessed Marvel Cinematic Universe fans. The Hawkeye premiere introduced a strange error into the MCU. The first episode shows a younger version of Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop looking at the devastation caused by Loki's (Tom Hiddleston) attack in The Avengers. Bishop's perspective shows the destruction Loki and his minions caused at the Avengers Tower, which was previously known as the Stark Tower. However, the scene includes a bizarre error. In Hawkeye, the "STARK" sign on the tower is missing the "R" due to damage from Loki's attack. However, in Avengers, the sign is missing the "K" instead, which led to confusion online and speculation that the scene had a deeper meaning.
Hawkeye is all about casting a new light on the MCU and its characters. The series finally explores more of Clint Barton's (Jeremy Renner) friendship with Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), showing the relationship wasn't one-sided and that Natasha Romanoff even confided in Barton about Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh). The series also shows how the world responds to the Avengers. Though a glamorous Captain America musical celebrates the heroes and their sacrifices, there are also people who believe that Josh Brolin's Thanos was right in killing off half the universe. And while some heroes like Chris Evans' Captain America are incredibly popular, others are not. For instance, as Kate Bishop says, Hawkeye has a "problem" with branding.
