A new character skin for Spider-Man is coming to Marvel’s Avengers tomorrow, based on the character’s appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically Spider-Man: Far From Home. Marvel’s Avengers has had a rocky relationship with fans and players since its initial reveal at E3 2019, with the game struggling to return a profit for Square Enix, as well as controversies galore surrounding the game’s handling of microtransactions and its ties to the leveling system.
A strong defense of the game is its inclusion of several free DLC expansions that include several new playable characters from every corner of the Marvel Universe, including Kate Bishop and Clint Barton, along with Black Panther and a massive story in Wakanda. However, the character most players was waiting on to be added to the game was Spider-Man, whom developer Crystal Dynamics announced would only be available for the PlayStation versions of the game due to Sony’s exclusive rights for the character.

Spider-Man was officially added to Marvel’s Avengers on November 30, and now the character is finally receiving new cosmetics. On the official Marvel’s Avengers Twitter account, the team announced that a new costume variant for Spider-Man based on his appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be added to the game’s marketplace starting January 27.
The costume in particular is based on the character’s appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the 23rd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the second film in the MCU Spider-Man trilogy starring Tom Holland.
