Why oh why does Japan always get the best collaborations? The Project Sekai x Sanrio event is the perfect combination of two incredibly popular franchises – and it’s due to start on December 5th and end on December 19. And what do I think of it? Well, simply put, I’m sad we’re missing out!

That isn’t to say that the global servers won’t be getting the Project Sekai x Sanrio event at some point, but some collaborations never make it to other regions.
Anyway, let’s delve deeper into what this exciting event entails. As Project Sekai features a gacha system, there will be a brand-new banner available for the Sanrio collab. There are multiple cards up for grabs that feature Project Sekai characters but with a Sanrio twist.
Their limited-time cards cover a wide range of characters from the Sanrio franchise, with Shinonome Ena as Kuromi, Aoi Momoi as My Melody, Saki Tenma as Pompompurin, Hatsune Miku as Hello Kitty, and Emu Otori as Cinnamoroll – and that’s just to name a few!
Lesser known Sanrio characters will also be making an appearance such as Lloromannic, Usahana, Marron Cream, and more. However, it’s a shame that Aggretsuko and Gudetama haven’t been added to the Project Sekai x Sanrio collab.
On top of all that, some adorable avatar accessories are available! My personal favourites are the Kuromi headband, Pompompurin’s headband, and the Cinnamoroll one with the mug on top! To get these accessories, you need to obtain one of the limited-time cards that feature a higher rarity Sanrio character.
