The latest Pulse video from the EVE Online team recaps the year that was 2023, its 20th anniversary year, all from the heart of Jita 4-4.
The video series typically goes through just the upcoming announcements and recaps some of the goings on in EVE Online's universe, New Eden. This time, though, it's a special year in review for EVE Online, with CCP Mirage, CCP Convict and CCP K1P1 recapping the updates that have released throughout 2023. The team also revealed some interesting stats from players this year as well, such as which corporations caused the most ISK loss during Factional Warfare this year, the most used colors in the new SKINR feature, and more.
Some other interesting stats were revealed during the video, including the number of jumps in and out of the new system Zarzakh since the Jovian stargates went live earlier this year (Alsavoinon seems to be the busiest overall), as well as the number of pirate signups by players and corporations since Havoc launched last month.
The new Scope video also showcased the most undocked ships in 2023 by Security Status, and man there are a lot of people using mining vessels as both High and Low sec saw ORE hulls represented in the top three. I was pretty happy to see the Astero make it in the top three of Low Sec undocks myself, and I'm interested to see how this changes in 2024.
The team also briefly recapped the recent EVE Vanguard First Strike event that took place earlier this month, though it didn't go into any insights into how the test turned out, or any player stats. The team did release a series of infographics on social media earlier this week, so we do have some numbers about what went on planetside in Vanguard at least.
Some other interesting numbers from the video:
